It only takes a few seconds for your life to be changed dramatically forever by some unexpected turn of events. < 200,000 rapes or sexual assaults in 2010; 169,370 are females & 15,020 are males (Dep of Justice 2010). Somewhere in US, a woman is battered, usually by her intimate partner,every 15 secs. (UN Study On The Status of Women 2000). Everyday we see headlines or hear news of women being raped/stalked/murdered/abused. As women, we have been labeled as vulnerable and defenseless in society. Today, more women take actions and refuse to be part of the statistics !
